Terms of Service

Educational content, not professional advice
Microgreen Academy provides educational content and tools for learning to grow microgreens. Our content is not legal advice, medical advice, or a substitute for local food-safety regulation. Commercial growers are responsible for complying with their jurisdiction's cottage food laws, produce safety rules, and business licensing requirements. We teach the framework; you verify local applicability.
Your account
Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. One person per account. Don't share paid-tier access.
Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload (grow photos, forum posts, capstone projects). You grant Microgreen Academy a non-exclusive license to display that content within the app and, for content you voluntarily mark public (forum posts, harvest showcase submissions), to display it to other users. If you submit a capstone for community review, you consent to named reviewers seeing it. You can delete your content anytime, and deletion removes it from the service within 30 days.
Subscriptions
Pro and Business tiers are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future billing; you retain access through the end of your paid period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, but if something feels wrong, email us — we're reasonable.
Certifications
Our certifications are credentials that record your completion of a tier's coursework and, for Specialist and Master tiers, the review of your capstone project by qualified reviewers. We do not claim accreditation by any government or academic body. Some employers, extension programs, or ag cooperatives may recognize them at their discretion.
Prohibited use
- No scraping or automated redistribution of our content.
- No posting content you don't have the rights to.
- No harassment or spam in the community forums.
- No reselling Pro / Business access.
Liability
The service is provided “as is.” We aren't liable for your crop failures, foodborne illness from produce you grew or sold, or business outcomes. Our aggregate liability is capped at what you've paid us in the prior 12 months.
Changes
When we materially change these terms, we'll email active accounts and show an in-app banner. Continuing to use the service after the changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
